Kevin, I'm of the same battery frame of mind as you. Our old 32' Bounder does quite well on 4 GC2 batteries and 860 watts of solar. No weather worries. No converting to Li needs. Guess those 82 candles I blew out this year, keeps me in the old school. GRIN!

In the photo below is the marked area where I should find the solar pre-wire? I understand one needs to drill thru the roof covered by the metal plate to access the solar pre-wire?

I have got a solar generator Jackery 1000 explorer to have my Refrigerator, fan and few lights running based on need.
Do you have any recommendation on how to connect it to the...

...lights at the four corners of my coach, I actually removed the forward left one as the slide tipper was triggering it. These motion activated solar powered solar lights are great for security, illumination when you walk in areas so you don't walk into slides, etc. etc. I use the 3M hook tape...
I am aware there is no connection with solar, but most that I have seen go Lithium with solar panels for off grid camping. I just want to loose some weight on the drivers side of the coach and have power without having to worry about going below 60% SOC. I think I'm sold on LiFePO4, but just...
So I have a fifth wheel that has a built in generator, had it installed at the dealer when it was new. I want to put in a solar set up with an inverter and auto switch so I don't have to run the generator as much when dry camping. Because of the built in generator there is already an auto switch...

We just bought a new 2021 Coachmen Chaparral 373MBRB that is pre-wired for rooftop solar. We see the connection on the roof, but cannot find the other end of the wires and/or the charge controller. Any suggestions?
...motor still worked for orientation).
Have kept all the equipment in place for resale purposes but at this point probably is becoming more of a liability.
Would rather have more space for solar, but the cost of adding more solar is too high to find any positive ROI, except for “fun” value.
...4 people close to me living in tents and cars! They use jackeries and blueitties.( don't know the spelling). These devices are referred to as solar generators. The charge system consists of 100 to 200 watt solar panels!
Here's the kicker!!!! They love the things! A far cry from the lifestyle...
My wife Cindy and I have been RVing for over 25 years owning three different motorhomes with solar panels on the roof. The first two had 400W of ridged tilting panels that required me to climb and manually tilt the panels to gain optimum output while boon docking. Both of these motorhomes had...

On a different note the current Class A we live in has solar 300 watts and we would like to find a similar system or better. If we cannot find one we are considering moving the current system to the newer...
