    adding solar to roadtrek

I just purchased a 2018 Roadtrek Simplicity SRT. I would like to add solar and would like to do it myself. I was going to buy a two panel kit, but it comes with items that are already included in the vehicle. Any recommendations?

    Question Solar install

Solar is also beneficial when in for service and not plugged in such as in the parking lot waiting on service. The main reason I got solar as my storage at the time didn't have power, but it's also a good learning experience to better understand electrical. Boondocking such as balloon fiesta and...

    Eco-trek questions

Hi! New members here— we are carefully considering the purchase of a 2015 e- trek, or Eco trek ( I’ve seen it both ways) with the solar PV unit. We wondered if any current or former members have pointers for what to look out for when looking at this model. Thanks so much!

    Must haves for boondocking

Love the roof spout for water, I have the 50 gal. Rain Wizard bins for my rainwater so when my electric goes off at my house because of the storms in Texas, I can use water for my flushing, dishes, cooking, etc.

    Question Solar install

As I have had time to meditate on adding solar to the RV, based on our camping style and other considerations, and the excellent discussion on this Board, we are going to take a Pass this year. Until we have definite Boodocking plans it realistically does not make sense for us.

    Must haves for boondocking

I have not been hooked to shore power since November. I have a small class C. I built a solar birth that uses smaller amounts of electricity to heat and cool. I do have the 12 volt blankets as well👍. I use my water tank for bathroom only. I have 3 and 5 gal water jugs from walmart and one is...

These motion activated solar powered solar lights are great for security, illumination when you walk in areas so you don't walk into slides, etc. etc. I use the 3M hook tape...

    Lithium Battery Package

...Vienna with the Enhanced Lithium Package (2 - 400ahr batteries). I noticed that the inverter/charger seems to be always running. I'm assuming that the solar panel is always feeding the batteries and the inverter/charger is on because of that. Does anybody know if this is normal for this setup?

    Cargoes!

Minimum solar! My history with solar defines this 1500 watts as the least acceptable solar install. It has become time to change what is considered my storage unit from cargo to fifth. And clean things up! Feels good to know I'm 1.5 months ahead of my self imposed schedule 😁
