Sadly, so true of many large cities. That’s the beauty of rving, allowing us to travel where we want and enjoy all the wonderful sites of this great country. And we can avoid areas that we feel are not for us for one reason or another.

I can't think of a single large city I want to spend time in. I find everything I need for in the suburbs and have peace of mind.

There’s nothing in LA, but if you go to San Diego around Oceanside near Camp Pendleton, there is nice camping site on and off base.

We live in a city, a pretty quit one, but when we hookup to our camper we want to go camping. We do like full service parks and enjoy visiting with other campers. A few times a year we meet up with friends but we like going alone and enjoying our time together. No need to be around big cities.

Police Union no doubt posturing for bargaining power for the next round of contract negotiations. On the other hand LA is not and never has been on my favorite city list. Really can't see spending much time there with my RV.

Like police somewhere/anywhere else can or will "guarantee" our safety. Our presidents are surrounded 24/7 by a team of some of the best bodyguards on the planet and they can't guarantee his safety, they can only do their best.

Yes, sadly this was a political statement made by the police union to cause fear.
