One of many articles related to lithium.

We are so fortunate that oil. coal and gas etc have none of those issues. Let alone the millions of lives lost in oil wars.

The last few years we have been energy independent. I am for all forms of energy but disagree when we try to price out one form for another. They all have their drawbacks.

The biggest reason not to purchase an electric vehicle is battery failure! The cost of replacing batteries out weigh the vehicles value!

We have had people ask us about that. But so far catastrophic battery failure (where the battery needs replacing) is less common than a gas engine failure (where the engine needs replacing). It happens. But it’s pretty rare. A typical battery is warranted for 8 to 10 years or 192000 km. The expected battery life is 300,000 to 500,000 kilometres. So essentially the service life of the car. As well, 3rd part battery rebuild shops are starting to pop up. I’m sure the industry will adapt.
