Hi, Everyone -

My wife and I are excited to be new owners of a 2015 Jayco Greyhawk 31DS. We have never owned an RV of any kind - so we are working hard on the learning curve.

One change we intend to make before we get it out on the road is to replace the single lead acid house battery with two 100ah lithium batteries (or a single 200ah). And one detail that I've learned over the hours of reading and Youtube videos is that I need to replace my 2015 model converter charger with one that's lithium capable. Any recommendations on which one to buy?

There are multitudes of other questions and challenges that we're grappling with but I will limit this post to that one question. However, if anyone wants to share their experience with replacing the Greyhawk house battery with lithium, I would sure appreciate any tips and/or highlighting of any gopher holes or snakes in the grass.

We're currently sorting our way through piles of user manuals, Youtube videos, and Internet pages trying to land on the right choices on such topics as new battery location, cables (proper sizing, safe and durable construction, acquiring quality tools and parts, etc.), not smoking my alternator while charging lithium, and all the other "I don't know what I don't know" challenges.

Thanks for considering my question.
Travis

Rather than rehash what you can find on the subject on this site. I suggest searching solar, battery, lithium, then armed with questions ask away!!!
