Hello, turned the ac on in bedroom last night and heard a pop, We have three surge protectors, one in the bedroom with the tv and cable box, living area with 2 phone chargers and one in the garage (toy hauler). The breaker was kicked and all three protectors were fried. They actually smell burnt. Turned the ac on just for a second and it ran but now afraid to run it. Has anyone heard of such a surge from the ac to cause this? Thanks

Too complicated to diagnose on a forum. Power surges can do weird stuff. Or you could have a short somewhere in the RV. Who knows without a tech looking at it and testing the circuits.

Maybe you had a significant voltage spike. 3 surge protectors and a breaker are pretty telling. Id disconnect from any outside power source and run your genny and then operate every appliance under normal conditions and see what happens. If all is well you’ll know what happened and why. If not, refer to post #2.
