Ark Encounter in Williamstown KY

Has anyone been to the Ark encounter? And if so what RV park do you recommend? Thanks!

We went there 1-2 years ago. We had difficulty finding availability at a nearby campground. We ended up staying at a Walmart just north of the place. Our 1st of the 2 times we have stayed at Walmart.

The Walmart was open all night and it seemed like folks don’t like muffler there.

We parked the 45’ coach w/toad at the Ark during our visit.

There is a park about 12 miles away, Three Springs Campground, which isn't to bad but was hoping for a nicer or closer one. Thank you!

We stayed at the Rising Star Casino Resort Campground last year. Campground is fairly new, clean, paved roads & cement pads, free breakfast at the Casino & as I recall ~ $30 / night. It's about an hour from the Ark encounter. If the Ferry is running to Rabbit Hash it cuts ~ 15 / 20 min off the drive time.
