I'm not at all squeamish about getting dirty, but truck stop DEF nozzles are beyond my threshold. I'd rather change my grandson's diaper after a blowout poop than touch a DEF nozzle covered in crystalized urine.
LOL - It is messy but the urea used in DEF is manufactured synthetically with ammonia and CO2.

Have always filled up at Truck Stops using the Open Roads/TSD fuel card for over 5yrs now w/o any issue. Never once filled with a 2.5gal container.

I added a shelf to the DEF bay door, I place the box on the shelf, the hose in the hole and walk away. It's not a huge deal, but I have a terrible back and standing there holding DEF containers is not one of my favorite things to do.

Hey there you are. Was just talking about you in post five.

I just stuck a knife in the handle and made a small hole to get it to move along.
I also think it’s easier to handle out of the box

The DPDS does not appear to have an issue with boxed DEF fluid that was put into the system. Thank goodness.

Very unlikely that it would unless the DEF was over 18 months old, or had been stored in an area without climate control in the summer. One of the advantages of box def is that it’s not subject to contamination if the container is properly sealed. It’s important though to identify and decode the production date on the box. But after careful consideration of all the factors I’m aware of, I am firmly a “never pumper” for DEF in the coach. Seems to be fine for my Ford but I’ve had two problems with the system immediately after putting on pump DEF.

For reference on box DEF storage:

I'm with Ro/Joe. I carried a fuel can in my lower compartment marked "DEF". I always fueled up my 4369 at major truck stops and would fill the DEF container. My reasoning was 2 fold. I would never reposition my coach to fill DEP at the pumps and hold up commercial drivers, and I trust the quality of major truck stop bulk DEF before I did jugs from the shelves of some Walmart or other retail chain.
