I scanned through the previous posts. I did notice anyone suggesting removing the valve only to clean the valve. Removal is the toughest part. Once the valve is removed you should be able to take it apart and soak it in vinegar. This will clean the calcium deposits off of the valve components. Hook the valve back up to a 12-volt battery and check for functioning. Vinegar cleaning generally will get the valve back in order.
Fortunately in my vintage BaRTH the valve can be reached with ease. Unfortunately the FULL sensor is not easily accessible. I ask siri to set a time to remind me to turn off the water.

I just want to thank those of you who have gone before me. I am now staring into the abyss.

We've all heard stories and recommendations about turning off water when we leave which none of us do.

We always turn the water off even when just going for a bike ride around the park etc.

Last year friends of ours were parked next door. Went out and heard water running at 1030 and they were not around.

Long story short their line to the 1/2 bath sink broke and it was running out of every bay door when I heard it.

About $18,000 worth of repairs later, all fixed.

I got on the habit of always shutting it off when we first started 8 years ago.

I thought I would give @rvkev ’s suggestion a go. Unfortunately, my problem appears to be beyond a simple decalcification. New solenoid on the way.

HMM... Neemer, were you able to buy only the electrical wound solenoid part, or were you required to buy the valve assembly? The hair like wire making contact on the winding is easily broken.

I looked at repair kits, but they were nearly as costly as a new complete unit.

My valve would move internally, but it wouldn’t completely shut off the water flow. I don’t know what the issue was to be honest. It could have been the coil, or maybe the diaphragm.

At any rate, the new unit was installed this morning and all is working as it should.
