Basement door won't open

I just had the problem with the cable while on our last trip. The door was very hard to open. Luckily, the wire was still in the setscrew, but barely, and frayed beyond further use. I ordered 3 wires from Newmar. One of the most reasonable priced things I've seen there. 2.54 each...

At the very least, everyone should take the covers off and tighten the clamps. I think all of mine were tighten by a 2 year old. Adding a second clamp is very easy.
