Question buying a used CS 3610

I put money down on a 2014 Canyon Star 3610. It's being shipped up to my local Gander RV dealer from another Camping World store. I'm looking for advice from other Newmar owners (specifically, gas models) as to how you like your coach, and/or what issues you may have had, and what I should look for when I finally do get to inspect this unit. Thanks for any help and advice you can offer.

Get a competent Rv inspection. Check all repair and maintenance records. Check roof and underside for rust. If no records Walk Away. Some will not let you see records until you put money down. Talk to former owner if possible.
Check tire dates. Might be out of date 6-8 yrs is okay if no cracks etc. Run everything, water heater airs fridge gen etc. Cycle all defroster and heater positions. A good inspection should do all of this.
Should cost about 500 $. We'll worth it.

If you have not owned a Class A motorhome prior to this purchase, I would ask your circle of friends if they know anyone that does (did) that might be willing to accompany you to your viewing. There's nothing like the eyes of an RV owner when looking at a MH. Run everything, smell the oil, hopefully they have the refrigerator cold, etc. This list is (very) long, and although an inspection will (should) reveal defects, it may not reveal practical things like the layout with the slides in. Newmar has a good reputation, and the quality will be evident... Have fun, and IMHO, don't be in a rush to make this purchase.

Excellent reply. On our 4th class A. 3 Bounders 2008 2010 2007 all gas our current RV 1999 Dutch Star. The best of all is the Newmar. Evy works great had been easy to maintain

Thanks for all the replies. Luckily this isn't my first RV. We're moving up from a 37ft 5th wheel to a motorized coach, so I know how to inspect the next RV. I guess what I'm looking for is if there are any specific Newmar issues. For example, Holiday rambler motorhomes built around 2000 - 2002 had a problem with cracking trailing arms in the rear suspension. I have not been able to find any mention of Newmar RV's having problems so far. I hope this Canyon Star is actually as nice as it appears to be in the photos.
Man, you all sure don't seem to care much for Camping World. They are new to Minnesota, so we don't have much experience with them. Camping World has been buying up existing RV dealers like mad up here. I'm cautiously optimistic that we will have a good experience. WE shall see !
