Hello considering buying a 28 foot RV with two bump outs 120 thousand miles 2004 says new roof new tires would be my first RV they’re asking 20 K any advice thank you in advance
Don’t buy anything that wasn’t inspected, by an inspector you paid. Use the inspection report to inform your negotiations.
A 2004 coach greatly exceeds the 10-year rule that some parks have. You can get exceptions to this rule when your RV is in good shape, but be aware that there may be times when you have to send photos of your coach ahead to a park you want to stay at
Ask for service records. Review them. That will give you insight into whether the unit has some persistent issues.
Parts for a 14 year old RV are likely going to be a bit harder to find. When you do find them though, they’re likely to be pretty cheap.
New roof implies old roof issues, which may mean water damage inside. look a bit deeper to make sure you don't have soft spots or mold issues. Tires age out, make sure of lifetime left. Other advice given is valid, make sure you can use the parks you wish to camp in. best of luck
Would you believe I'm getting a 2005 Travel Supreme? It's been officially inspected. Seller is working on fixing a few things. Anyone have any experience with this coach? Reading and seeking info. Thanks.
