I have a long write-up on this "over there" but one really isn't needed. Quite frankly the home made mount Newmar uses is terrible. It's hinged on one side and doesn't allow proper positioning or tilt of your external TV. Shop at Amazon or your favorite store for a much improved mount and simply replace it. It's easy to do to. Some of us mounted the magnets Newmar used on this new mount to help keep the TV up against the back when retracted which does work nice. If you have any questions let me know. Many of us here replaced our external TV mounts. Here is what I used:

Also note I switched out my Sony TV Newmar provided with a 46 inch Samsung I wasn't using at home and it works great. I also changed out the soundbar to a Samsung one:

I currently do not use the subwoofer, I have at times but really need to keep the bay door open when in use. I'm not a fan of Bose especially the Newmar provided soundbar so I sold it for a good price on Craigslist.

@Neal

I would be interested in your thoughts on the Bose sound bar. Not so much the one that Newmar provides, but Bose in general. I know you’re not a fan, but is it the quality of the sound or the price vs value?

I changed out the mount to the one Neal recommended and the new one is miles ahead of the original. I'd still like to move the TV to the pegboard bin and use the TV bin for tools, but would have to hinge the door on the top somehow.

My personal opinion is that Bose markets the name. To my ear it's never sounded that great. I think you can get better for far less money. And with Amazon's easy returns you can find something that fits and see if you like it. I've been pleased with the Samsung one I bought. I guess just check reviews and see what's rated high. I also like that the Samsung has a display so I can visually see what mode I'm in, levels, vs. the bose sound bar I had I was mashing on buttons on the remote wondering what was going on.

I have to agree with Neal. The Bose name is sought after more than their sound by some. On an offshoot, our Newmar installed sound bar is a JBL. Sounds pretty good but....and it's a big but, if it has power to it, it will link up with any bluetooth device in the area. I wondered,while staying at Freightliner parking lot,why my neighbor had his NPR on so loud. Turned out it was our soundbar in the closed cabinet outside making all the noise. I have since installed a power switch. ?

I had changed mount on 2017 DS @Neal recommended and I really liked the ability to tilt. Just replaced 2020 DS with same mount however newer version. Having Samsung TV in new coach I did not use the cross bars. One change I do not like is the tilt is now a lock nut, thinking you leave in one position. I changed to wing nuts but looking for better solution.

I kept Bose sound bar below TV which is mounted to TV.

I too have a power strip that I plugged in to the outlet beneath the kitchen sink back wall and have it mounted high and forward so I can open the cabinet door and turn it on/off. The external TV, amazon echo, etc. all plug into the power switch for the same reason. Just this morning at around 4 AM I get a loud "There's motion at your front door" from my RING doorbell at my S&B that is linked into Alexa. I forgot to set the do not disturb time window on that Alexa in the external TV bay. Same thing happened yesterday but I thought it was the one inside but it did have DND set. Also if not carefully configured some devices will turn on automatically when a HDMI source is on so you may not even realize your external TV is on and playing.
