Holy buckets Neal that sounds really good. I can get this for my keurig right??

I’ve been thinking about getting a Nespresso Lattissima Pro for a couple weeks now. I have used a Nespresso before and know they make really good coffee, but I’ve never had one.

Anyone know if they are a PITB or relatively easy going machines?

We purchased the Latissima Pro about 3 months ago, only because my old model gave out after nine years. Luckily it was when they have one of their sales. I have been very happy with it. It is a bit more computerized than necessary, but fast, and produces lovely frothed milk, and everything is good and hot. We usually use the Ristretto, or Arpeggio pods. However, it is always fun to try their new coffees. Judy D
I just want to add, this is one time it is worth reading through all the directions.

Thanks @J&JD! i have two concerns that maybe you can confirm or waive away for me.

Is the milk heated in the container or when it gets pumped into the machine? My guess is the latter and that the milk is heated internally but would want to be sure because if it were heated while in the container, I’d hesitate to put it back in the refrigerator afterwards.

how is the cleaning and descaling process? I don’t want to spend 30 minutes cleaning the machine after every single use because for me, that would be every day, maybe sometimes twice a day!

I cannot imagine an easier machine to use. The computer guides you through everything, even shows you which coffee cycle you pushed in case you made a mistake. The milk stays cold, and is heated internally. You clean the frother daily by a simple turn of the knob on top of the frother. I have a stainless frother container that I stick under it to catch the steamed cleaning water. then you turn the dial on the steamer back to the milk position, making sure it is all the way past the milk position. Then it even reminds you to put the milk container in the fridg? While putting the milk container in the fridge, I stick my extra stainless container under the coffee outlet, and run the lungo cycle, making sure there is no pod still in position. Voila! The machine is clean. I always lift the pod lever to release any water left. When . the pod container is full, slide out the drip tray, used pod container, empty and rinse. You can set your water hardness. I keep ours on the medium setting, and only have to descale about every 5 months. The computer guides you through it. Easy. I keep their descaler on hand. The milk container and parts are top rack dishwasher safe. I do not have one of those containers to hold small things, so I just put the black top in the dw, and soak all tne small parts in hot soapy water in the cotainer, then wash, and rinse. 12 oz, double walled glasses fit well. I put a bit of Toriani coffee syrup in the bottom and heat in the microwave for 15 seconds, gets everything hot and ready for coffee. Nespresso’s stainless travel mugs are great. Hope this helps! It did. Thanks so much for the insider info.

I just spent an awful lot of money on an awful tiny machine that makes awfully good espresso.

I very excite!
