Well, as expected...without argument, we all agree that AI has an INCREDIBLY useful place as a tool in our live's. Use it, or get lost in the dust. It's as powerful as the first CNC lathe was to my buddy who bought the very first one and, rather than staying with the old "Tool & Die" machinists, he put the CNC to work and it paid itself in months.

So, even though AI can write a meal plan in 15 seconds that would take my daughter, with her masters in nutrition hours, the one thing she has is herself as a human with personal touches.

I use it every day to be a HELPER, when I want. Heck, last night even, GROK and I got into an argument and that TWIT called me out and got downright nasty. So, I turned her off! LOL...that's one big advantage to AI.

BUT, IN TERMS OF THIS "USER" FORUM...we're back to the original opinion, which NO WAY do I want AI's interaction in this forum of people with unique names and character; or lack thereof. ;-)

What kinds of things are you guys asking AI? Just in general, doesn't have to be RV related.
Here is a prompt I created for a friend that was modified for generic use

“I have knee arthritis and would like a safe, effective exercise plan to strengthen my knee and reduce pain.

Here are my details:

  • Age: [insert age]
  • Current fitness level: [beginner / moderately active / active]
  • Arthritis severity: [mild / moderate / severe, or describe symptoms like pain level, stiffness, swelling]
  • Any limitations or other conditions: [optional]

Please create a personalized exercise plan that includes:

  • Low-impact strengthening exercises and stretches appropriate for my condition
  • Recommended frequency, duration, and progression over time
  • Modifications based on my fitness level and arthritis severity
  • Clear instructions for proper form
  • Movements or activities I should avoid
  • Tips for managing pain, stiffness, or flare-ups

Include a simple weekly routine I can follow.”

I'd be much more comfortable getting that type of info from a physiotherapist.

Can you give us example about how this is done? I have AI in Gmail that is constantly giving corrections to grammar and phrasing but it is opt in, not required. If there are forums actually editing posts without consent using AI I would leave as well. I don’t think anyone would approve of that. AI can be used for many things. Quality knowledge generation and availability is most important. I really like the Grok AI fact checking going on with X. We could use that here on this forum. It can be done without modifying user comments. X simply appends a fact checking box to a post if it finds that someone has purposely stated a “fact” that can be confirmed as erroneous. The words still stand as posted but the reader is advised to seek further information.
And who checks the fact checker? We all see the disclaimer on AI.
Can make mistakes...so do you take the AI ,known to make up answers if it doesnt know it, or the human who posted as the real fact?

 🤣 and humans do not make up answers. I see posts all the time with folks that know nothing about a specific model, and gleefully with bravado post an answer, completely incorrect but they think its fact

Give it a try on different models. Even if you don’t follow its recommendations it’s worth reading its advice to understand its logic.

I don’t blindly follow any advice, AI or HI. What this prompt shows is how closely aligned AI is with PT and chiropractic advice.

I printed the plan and asked my orthopedist, chiropractor and physical therapist to review. Not a single fit.

Results may vary but it’s an interesting experiment.

Also, I used Grok for the version I had reviewed.
