Did a search and found nothing useful. I have a 1996 Dometic 3862 that will not work on gas. I have replaced the control board, thermocouple and igniter control. In gas function it will light just like it should and run until the box is cold, but at some point the check light comes on and it stops working. Can turn it off and start and it will again light and get cold then go off again.

I've heard the exhaust (chimney) can become obstructed and cause this. I have no experience with this, but have heard it said. It might be worth a shot (?) Blessings

Have you checked the high temp limit switch? If it is faulty it could be shutting off prematurely.

Sounds to me like the propane pressure is dropping to low or the voltage is dropping to low. Check both.

Pull the thermistor out either inside the fridge or off the board. This will make it run full time. It will not shutdown at set temp. IF this works you need a new thermistor. You mention a thermocouple. Does it have a standing pilot?
