Dumping Fresh Water

Yes, they hide the valve very well.

In the factory I once worked, there were hundreds of thousands of valves. Many were hidden and/or out of reach. Similar to the fresh water tank empty valve. In many situations, in the case of a ball valve and it’s 90 degree operating handle, we would drill a hole in the end of the handle and make a reach rod from a round rod. Usually about 3/8” diameter. Sometimes we’d just bend the end of the rod as a handle to push/pull to operate the valve. Sometimes we went fancy and threaded the rod end and put on a threaded ball to grab onto.

There’s no reason that this could not be done on the hard-to-reach fresh tank valve. I’ve not done it, since I can now blindly reach in there and feel around to operate the valve. If it was a task to do daily, weekly or even monthly, yeah I’d probably make the reach rod. Until then, the deep blind reach is my process.
