Had to cancel East Glacier St. Marys KOA this morning, full deposit refunded as I got work via @ARD about the closures going through the end of 2020. It looks like things that are opening up may be quickly reversing course. This morning I pondered whether even to head west as I have two weeks in West Glacier followed by a short stint in Polson. Is it worth it? Yeah, probably as this is more about just getting time in the coach and keeping the parts in motion as I hate it sitting but this situation really makes you think twice about everything, RV related at least. From safety to what can you even do at your destination.

My winter trip is also in question as I'd hate to go some place like AZ again to find out when I get there Pickleball (the reason for my travel) is shutdown, either in AZ or FL. No decisions needed right now and many will be cancelling even in short term due to various reasons so things will open up even if booked right now.

What are your fall plans and what are your thoughts on them?

Bluewater Key RV Resort in Key West this November. I got word that masks are required everywhere in Key West, NO EXCEPTIONS. These are perfect reservations (in my opinion) so I guess we're going to stay the course and hope for the best.

I hate seeing these restrictions being reimposed, but what is one to do?

Jim, you will love that place. There are few things in life I will guarantee, but that is one of them.

Imho, glacier is even more attractive with things shutdown. The crowds are gone and all the nature is still here!

Even if gnp is closed, many forest trails and sites to see. Much more to the area than gnp.

Wow, we are scheduled to leave Tues 6/30 for Northern MI...hadn't really thought about CG's being closed along the way...has anyone heard about specific closures in FL, AL, TN, KY, IN, MI? I suppose with current spikes, anything is possible...

Coming from FL to NC last week and we found a couple of sites campgrounds that would only take reservations via online. We were on the phone talking to the people but they said no, they couldn't take the CC and we had to do it online.

Not a deal breaker, but just wanted to toss it out there.

RV Trip Wizard has a button to hide CG's closed due to COVID-19. Not sure what others do the same but that may help you.

There are some changes I actually like as a result of this pandemic such as contactless check-in, i.e. not having to go in to the main office to register, they come out to you with your package. Just like restaurants where you can pull up and call and they bring out your food. I hope some of these procedures stick around such as making checking in smoother and more efficient at CG's.

I'm headed for a one week beach trip Wednesday. Fireworks are cancelled, my fav seafood restaurants will probably be beyond my patience to wait for outdoor seating at holiday time so I likely won't get my seafood fix but I'll see how the takeout situation is. So I'm stocking up on good food (a lot of seafood and probably a few steaks) and this will be a staying in week of cooking other than taking the dog to the beach and walking where we can.

Texas has been in the news lately with increased cases of the plague. My detail-oriented, event-planning, and worrier-in-chief bride is now expressing concerns that other states may want us to hibernate for 14 days before getting our 'welcome' letters. Several states that I don't care to travel to have already granted us that status. We don't plan to leave for S Dakota until August 1, so hoping our numbers get better.

Are cases rising or tested persons increased? That's where I'm confused HOWEVER the virus is no joke, I heard of someone that recently got it and died 3 days later.

This is why I'm on the fence, stay home and stay put or continue with caution. Right now it's continue but I'm really close to just cancelling all and staying local.

Being from FL we are on the same lists and we have no desire to visit those states either. It's the states we want to visit that have me starting to second-guess our itinerary...:(
