I recently purchased a Salem Hemisphere Hyper Lite 19RBHL from Couch’s RV Nation. We took delivery of our brand new trailer and found out at the first campsite that a repair had been done on our fresh water tank. RV Nation never told us a repair had been done and apparently they didn’t test the repair because it was still leaking. They told us they had three trailers with the same issue . Has anyone else recently had this problem? Where the fitting is molded into the tank it’s leaking. They tried to fix it by spraying it with a rubber sealant! REALLY!!

Get a tube of plumbers epoxy. The stick kind one kneeds to activate. Clean the area with MEK or Lacquer thinner to remove the crap the dealer applied. Work the plumbers epoxy around the fitting and feather out to the tank body for about an inch or so. Allow the epoxy to cure at least 24 hrs before adding water.
