Well the time is getting near to my full-time RV living.A lot of questions remain unanswered such as what can I run at the same time in the RV being the air conditioner ..water heater..I pretty much watch TV all day and the Internet is another question ..Obviously the router and the modem would have to be plugged in also and refrigerator,,do I need to look for a 50 amp RV ,,,what can I expect,,For those of you living full-time I would really love some answers thank you

If you purchase an RV with 50 amp you will have plenty of power. A 50 amp RV is really two legs of 50 amp, basically 100 amps. Are you planning to buy a motorhome, 5th wheel, or travel trailer?

Just a couple questions. Are you thinking of traveling in your future RV, or are you simply setting one up on a lot somewhere to live in full time? Also, if traveling how do you plan on getting residential internet service where you would even need a router and/or modem?

Another question is where will you be, somewhere hot? 30 amp service you will only be able to run air conditioner which may be enough for a 30’ rv in the right climate.

Hello...it would be residential only,no traveling, and im in Orlando,Fla.where its usually VERY hot.The reason i need to go this route is that i have three small dogs(and no rentals will let you have more than two)qnd im not in a position to buy a house, once i sell my current home.I am retired/disabled so i pretty much watch tv a lot so i need my internet. Thanks

You will definitely want to buy a trailer with two air conditioners and 50 amp service. Be sure the RV park you stay at offers 50 amp hookups although most do.

Yes the park I'm looking at has 50 amp service but with that being said and having to run both ACs what else do I need to look for as far as running my TV Internet modem and the router and possibly the stove at the same time

NewtoRVlife, Your TV, modem, and other incidentals won't take much power. You can possibly run two A/C units on 30A, but then no microwave, electric skillet, etc. In other words, 50A will give you about all the power you will need. I can run both A/Cs, tv, two routers for internet, the microwave, and the electric element in the water heater at the same time.
