It was on a tow dolly, so the dolly was the brake.

I have several friends who tow 4-down without brakes. They claim they don't need one because their diesel pushers have so much tow capacity. I just shake my head because my DP doesn't notice the toad either but a breakway is what scares me. Imagine how you'd feel if your toad killed someone?

What would braking have to do with what happened here?

As @redbaron pointed out, my mistake. I'm going to correct the title of the thread to avoid further confusion from my error.

When we used a dolly we always used a separate strap/chain through the wheel as a safely in addition to the straps over the tires.
Luckily the Jeep didn’t hit anyone.

I always had the drive wheels on the dolly! Never considered any other way! Rear wheel or front wwheel drive.

It’s actually not approved to pull a wrangler that way, but it doesn’t say what kind of jeep it was.

Yah! And that Beggs the question! Why is he using a dolly to begin with with the dash cam setup to record the stupidity? Click bate?

I had to check the video again to see how stupid the author was...okay, yep, they blocked out the license plate.

My bet is the driver in the jeep is the reason it was in control till stopped!
Yeah for a driverless vehicle, avoiding hitting every obstacle it came near and stopping without incident seems a bit of a coincidence.

I can't see if there are/were any safety chains on that dolly.

I thought they were amazingly lucky it didn't hit anything.

Actually looking at the hood, that's a Wrangler, which shouldn't be towed on a dolly according to Jeep. Messes up the transfer case.
