Loud RV furnace exhaust

I would say that anyone camping in a campground that allows RVs should expect to hear some furnaces, especially as it gets colder. As inefficient and loud as RV propane furnaces are, I would advise against modifying them for the reasons stated above.

My Oasis is fairly loud too and Im aware of that, but if I dont have electricity and it’s cold I’ll run it as necessary. Whenever I’m plugged in I just use a small electric heater, which of course is nearly silent and uses the power supplied by the park.
 
My Montana furnace vent sounded like a small jet engine. Also felt like it put more heat outside than inside.

The guy catty cornered behind me down at The Glades in Florida, his motorhome furnace is even louder than that. Luckily we don't need them often down there. I just deal with it.

My hydro hot isn't loud, but does give off a faint diesel smell.
 
They put mufflers on the ITR OASIS hydronic heating systems until 2018, then people started adding them themselves.
