Loves rv expansion

I looked at one in southern Indiana two summers ago. There was just several sites near the propane tank, no pullthrus, $39 a night. I didn't need it; I was just there getting propane.

That location is on the backside of bfe although there's a town with a Walmart nearby off the highway. Since the temp was 101F that afternoon I would have had to run the generator all night for a/c at about $4 an hour while "free" camping at Walmart; taking advantage of the Loves site would have been a no-brainer.

Have not stayed in one yet, but seen a few. It looks like the ones at older or land locked Loves are back-ins carved out of existing space. The ones at newer Loves with some vacant area around them are more like small RV parks with mostly pull throughs

I just made a reservation hereoutside of Gadsden, AL.
The area looks decent and it is just a few miles from where we were planning to stop for the night.

Stayed once a few months ago for an overnight in Cordalle GA.

Stayed there twice now and would again. Easy stop for an overnight.

Stayed once a few months ago for an overnight in Cordalle GA. Pull through spot, gated, well lit and easy to get around. Only about 50% full that night and it felt even less crowded than that. Would definitely stay in one again after a long day with a planned early departure. Doesn't have the charm of a local establishment, but sometimes the easy button is welcome.

A planned early morning departure would be another good reason to use this sort of stop.

Wow RV sites? I stayed at a loves with RV parking spaces in PA. Nice paved lot. Of course I was surrounded by bobtails, but that is ok. My generator doesn’t bother them. They seem to be filling up RV spaces everywhere these days.
Fewer shady characters at Loves than at Pilot.

I would have no problem staying in one. In fact, I had planned to stop at the one in Cordele, GA. It's across the street from one of my fav BBQ joints. But we ended up making a stop in TN instead. I have been adding the Love's RV Stops to my campground spreadsheets as they pop up in the states that I cover. I figure they fill a need. The Walmart in Cordele no longer allows overnighting in the lot. That leaves a Cracker Barrel with a tight lot. We used to have to park the pickup truck and 16ft cargo trailer next door in the Home Depot lot because it wouldn't fit in the CB parking lot.

Yeah that is a pretty nice one actually. We saw that last month on our way through as well, it’s a new one.

We stayed at the Loves RV Stop in Hardin, MT a few nights ago. It was a very easy process from reservation to parking, etc. On the way to Texas we passed 3 other Loves RV Stop and none of them compared to the one in Hardin.

The key difference is the location of the RV Stop. Some Loves have it in an adjacent property, separate from all other traffic. Those are ideal and I wouldn't hesistate to stay.

Others are after thoughts, either taking a portion of the truck parking, or putting it in an area near the gas fuel pumps. These are typically back-in only and are crowded and very exposed to the constant traffic in and out. I would avoid these personally.

The one in Amarillo TX is an exception in the sense that it is separated from all traffic for the Fueling/Retail operations, but sits between I-40 and Loves along the access road. This is less than ideal, as the semi traffic leaving the fueling will exit along side, and enter on the other side. It also presents potential security issues being so close to the access road.

As long as you do the research before booking, there are some nice Loves stops.

Oops, forgot about this thread.
It was decent. It was full hookup and the Love's had restrooms available as well.
It's quite new so the gravel had not packed down and was a little touchy and there were some holes where RVs had obviously dug in...
On our way back from Tennessee, we stayed at a park that was up a dang mountain and had no TV or cell reception, but was beautiful.
Love's was definitely easier...
