I just checked for updates and 1.0.6.4 is out which I'm updating to now and coming out of beta mode.

Update installed, GEN feature remained enabled.

I had an idea I sent them which is to "tie" my two units together so that when A/C is called for both units run. I find that my front unit is typically doing all of the work, you'd think to cool something like a RV "box" you would want both units running together. They responded that if I disconnected the sensors then the panel temp would be used and this could be done. I don't know how to do that other than on the roof so I responded that it would be great if you gave me the option in the app to use thermistor (unit sensor) or panel temperature. I recall someone mentioning there was a way to use panel temperature but I haven't tried to find it.

1.0.6.4 continues to work well, as expected, GEN remains enabled.

It happened again and I'll file a bug report, but as has happened about a half dozen times now when I turn the system off using bluetooth (not Wi-Fi) somehow the system gets turned back on again. I turned it off, disconnected shore power, next thing I'm surprised by the GEN starting. I'm now going to ensure the app is killed on the phone (flicked up and closed) if I turn the system off via bluetooth to ensure the app is killed and not running in the background on my iPhone.

Does the beta one prevent it, or am I following, that the current production release was the beta you were on, and it's gen is being disabled? Trying to figure out if I should update, and if it's to beta or regular, or just leave it where it's at (I think I'm already on one that's disabling in background unfortunately).

I'm on the latest production release which is 1.0.6.4 that has the GEN control issue resolved. So I'm no longer on the beta. I've had this issue for over a year when using bluetooth. I'm seeing more of the problem where I make a change via bluetooth connect and come back to find the change did not persist.

Is there a way to disable Bluetooth use, so it only uses Wi-Fi?

When you open the app to connect to your t-stat you have two options: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Just use the Wi-Fi path.

Ok, I need to check this next time I'm in the app. Heading to RV garage this afternoon or tomorrow. I just recall opening it, seeing my account and I click on it, and I'm in zone 1 by default. Don't recall ever seeing a bluetooth/wifi option. I'm curious now.

OK, last minute change in plans. Had been planning to board the three dogs for upcoming trip, mostly due to how hot it's going to be in AZ/NV, but one of the three is sick this morning and my wife doesn't want to leave him at the boarder (we had bad incident with him getting sick/not eating at a boarder earlier in the year, when we were out of town and I was getting neck surgery.

Does all seem good with the new public firmware with generator? If there is any doubt, I can put my old dometic back on? Looks like it will be 105-110 when in NV.

New EasyTouchRV owner. We are headed to Sun N Fun Aviation Expo next week…and I wanted to be able to control the A/C setting from the field. We no long have our Samoyeds…so, in the past…AGS was always armed to startup for A/C. Now, we can let the temperature climb while we are away, but would like to get it cooled off when we are heading back to camp.

I see we have 1.0.6.10 software. I have done one AGS dry run and it went fine…

I have a couple of questions… what the best way to set cycle delay? The Dometic CCC2 had it built-in…and so I never armed it when I installed the MicroAir Easy Starts…being the thermostat did it already. Are you owner’s setting a cycle delay on the EasyTouch unit? Or the EasyStart Unit?

I also noticed there was a page that showed what was populated on the control boards… I would swear, when I first set it up it had the rooftop stuff and AGS. Now, I just see the stuff for the rooftop units… but I can still toggle the Generator ICON ON (Green) and OFF (grayish). It seems to still work.

Any cool tricks of the trade out there to share with a newbie ?..

I think the only item requiring action is to have the green gen icon on otherwise no other settings are required. Pretty simple and straightforward.

There is one bug/anomaly, at least for me as an iPhone user is that if I am connected to the T-stat via bluetooth and I turn off the system, it will turn back on. I have to turn off the system and force close out of the easytouch app. Seems when the app is suspended is turns itself back on. Reported to them long ago but no action and I haven't followed up with them. I primarily use Wi-Fi for the connection and all you can use when out of BT range.

So again, simple and straight-forward. The T-Stat doesn't control the gen functionality, I think it just enables the EXT Temp path, otherwise control for you remains with Magnum.

Good deal. Did you set a cycle delay at all?

Any chance you’re thinking about Lakeland? I guess since you have done Air Venture our Florida expo is a bit less exciting. I’ll have to try and hit Air Venture one of these days.

I didn't set anything in the app. The only item of interest that was added after I started using it was the heuristics I think it's called which is the temp offset between A/C cycles. I did not touch anything related to AGS other than turning the green gen on and I'm not sure in my current setup with LiFePO4 that's in play anymore for me.

I did Sun-n-Fun once, it was so-so, that was about 20+ years ago when Orville was a demo pilot :) And with the Amazon facility with PrimeAir on the field it seems to be a disruptor now. Let me know how it goes, I may consider going again in the future.

Be sure to do one of the night shows. One of the best parts of these events nowadays.

We definitely will. I haven’t been to the show for the past 15 years…so, really looking forward to it. Gonna be nice having the coach to go back to… I either drove over and back for the day, or tent camped for the week in the past.

Can’t wait to learn more about the paramotors…they will be doing a night show twice during the week. Thinking easy to pack for taking on trips. Like a lawn chair with helium balloons..,but steerable :)
