Question Need advice from someone with knowledge on either 30A or 15A power systems

I am doing a custom recreational (legally 'utility') conversion on a 1998 Volvo V70 wagon. Here is my dedicated thread for that. I just need to know what all I need for the power system and how to make it work.

Whether I build a basic 15/20A charging system or an upgraded 30A (PREFERRED) type, I need input on what all I need to make it happen. I plan to have 2 large special batteries (no battery format, chemical type, or numericals here for sake of teasers). I want to use an AC to DC converter. I thought if I used a 55A version like this then I should be able to successfully either hook up a 30A or 15/20A receptacle.

So yeah, fill me in. Let me know what all I need to look at.

The provided charger is only a 20amp charger. You can connect to 50,30, or 20 amp but will only use 20.

What other electric devices using AC power will you have on your conversion? That will determine the need.

Okay so with that charger I will only have a 20A input current. How would I go about having 30A input? I haven't looked at '30A 120v to 12v' converters, so that's next on the research list.

I will have 1 2-outlet inverter to supply 2 AC plugs for up to 500w. I MIGHT also add a single outlet 1500-2000w inverter for a rooftop A/C (ASA AC135/AC150). MIGHT.

In that case I would get a single unit 30amp inverter charger. This along with a proper breaker box for the same rating will allow you a confined space solution.

This is common in any Rv.
