We have been having water leak in from two spots above the dash, I’ve taken some pictures of the outside sealant and it’s pretty torn up, you can see where I attempted to use some flex seal which works great on the roof leaks but not so much for vertical leaks like this one, I bought some self leveling rv sealant, but the rubber of the windshield is also loose, but I’m not too concerned about it since the water would have to be being pushed up under it, but the old sealant has to most likely be removed and the area cleaned before I add the new sealant, one thing it says on the sealant tube not for vertical applications, so does that mean I can’t use it to seal the leak, any tips would be appreciated. It’s warm today with some sun and about 80 % humidity, tomorrow will be 40 percent chance of rain, so I really need try to get it done today. Thanks for any help.

I don’t know much about windshields, but ooking at that seal, I would lean towards having a reputable, outfit like Duncan remove the entire windshieald, repair any damage that may be hidden, and replace the entire seal.
