Hello! I would appreciate some advice for a first-time RVer. So first of all, I need to buy a new car because my current car is at the end of her life. I'm deciding if I should buy an SUV to tow a small trailer or buy a pick up truck to tow a 5th wheel. What would you all recommend for a beginner?
I do plan to live in my RV full time.

And which SUVs/trucks would you recommend, considering my budget is around 20k?

Any advice is much appreciated!
Thank you! 😊

If you want to live in the RV full time, I doubt you'll find one that's small enough to be safely towed by an SUV that's large enough to be comfortable. I would look at a one ton (3500/350) pickup and a 5th wheel or larger bumper pull trailer.

No strong preference between the three domestic brands that make one tons as they all have pros and cons. Based on your budget and the current market, you'll be looking at something a little older.

Does that 20k say you can work on your own stuff?
