Front engine diesel. Boy I hope they’ve done their homework on soundproofing. That’s going to be loud. That said, Diesel Toy Hauler, purdy sweeet!

This came out from Mount comfort RV that the dealer meeting was cancelled and dealers could come see them.

Looks like they did the annual dealer meeting virtually and this is in the news:

This is an interesting approach when a new "Improved" Ford gas engine is being installed in the F53 chassis. Sounds intriguing. With a rear Air Suspension installed on a Freightliner Front Engine Chassis which addresses a major problem with the F53 coupled with a Cummings power plant. It will need all of the 30k lb GVWR. Also this takes the CSCA beyond the 26K GVWR class of DOT Vehicle rules. Lots of changes, Wow.

I've got to side with John on this one. I've owned a Baystar with the V10 underneath your feet, and they are LOUD when climbing hills. Can't imagine what that Cummins will sound (and feel) like under the cockpit. Air bags will make a huge difference in the F53 style suspension.

So the 21 Canyon Star has 9” monitors but VT and DS dont.

Looks like this is the Dutch Star upgrade:
  • The in-dash monitors on the 2021 Dutch Star have been increased in size to two 9” XITE units. This feature eliminates the need for the optional XITE dash radio (option #J338) previously available. These monitors do not display Bluetooth call information.
  • The radio monitor and backup camera monitor positions have been reversed, similar to the way these are positioned in Newmar’s higher end coaches.
  • The XITE dash radio will feature new graphic user interface as well as revised functionality for the Bluetooth phone and radio interface.
  • A new generation of 360 degree HD camera is being offered for 2021, as the previous model has been obsoleted by the manufacturer.
  • All 43” Samsung television models used in 2020 have been replaced with a newer model, as the ones used last year have been discontinued. This made it necessary for Newmar’s engineering team to develop new mounting brackets for these TV’s.
  • In addition, for similar reasons, a new series of JBL speakers are being used for the 2021 mod

Oh so just the Ventana gets stuck with little screens. The thought of a two bedroom Ventana certainly got the gears winding in my head, but the bunks are still too small. They should have found a way to get 30 x 80 bunks in there so that a taller adult or teenager could squeeze in there. Great updates overall. Wish the floor plans were posted.
