here’s another begininja question. Do you add the pellets prior to preignition or when you the add the food. The pellet chamber is small and you will go through pellets quick.

My understanding is add prior to cook so it's armed and ready and it doesn't use much like other smokers we are accustomed to. Awaiting the experts' response.

I also imagine using the smoke setting is really the only “low and slow” (good for brisket and pork butts) versus grill or bake.

I've only used the smoke setting a couple of times and I did load the pellets before ignition. They will smoke for about 30 -45 minutes. Remember, the initial smoke may be dirty smoke. That's why I always let my pellet smoker burn for a few minutes before I put the food on.

EX - has been
Spurt - a drip of water under pressure.

Grill on.

Has anyone used the "flat top griddle"? I have a Blackstone both at home and in the motorhome but I'm thinking about getting the flat top and leaving the Blackstone home this summer.

Watching...my blackstone has been in my garage for some time, I'm on the thinning out mode and reducing the basement collections. Link to griddle for the XL?

I like it! I see there is also a combo grill/griddle. Hmmm

I see a stacker trailer in your future.

Yeah, so much for that thinning out the basement concept.
