The price out the door sounds reasonable, so I will go with the no nitrogen, this looks like a 50/50 answer on the air or nitrogen

Our tires came filled with nitrogen (9/22). In March 2023, I topped them with air with my compressor as they were down 10 PSI or so. I occasionally topped them up last year before weekend uses.

When I checked the tires before moving the trailer to storage a few weeks ago (we moved), they were all pretty close to 60 PSI, where they’re supposed to be.

I don’t think it’s worth worry about what’s in the tires. Just check the tire pressure often.

If you think it is a scam, go ask an A&P, that an aircraft mechanic what they put in air liners tires!
Going from 100+ temps to well below zero numerous times a day does to tire pressure?
Nothing because they are filled with nitrogen!! Duh!!

If you’re doing that kind of temperature extremes in your RV, go for it.
Only one I know that likes extremes is Neal! And that ain't several times a day!

Still freezing to warm tires, well maybe hot (standard TPMS) reading, create conditions where nitrogen would be beneficial.

The point is that if an aircraft can do it with that wide spread temp fluctuation then an RV changing temp 50-60 degrees is nothing. It can help that swing in temp but is it worth it? You know what they say about opinions, like (deleted), everyone has one!!

Maybe I need to be filled with nitrogen, I go from cool to hot all the time driving!
But seriously thanks for the reply, but the tire price sounds pretty good,
It does say on the original tires they are nitrogen filled, hard to believe the factory will take extra measures to fill the tires with nitrogen, and not use the same diligence on the trailers.

Being mobile is in my opinion the limiting factor for maintaining Nitrogen in tires. Having a Nitrogen generator or tank at the shop is certainly desirable to maintain tire inflation.
The largest tire pressure adjustments when on the road we have seen is when there are large altitude and/or temperature changes.

Quite a different environment than the typical RV or auto tire experiences. For typical street tire use it’s a scam.

Been filling my tires with compressed air for 25 years, but what do I know
