Everything seems to be working. Everything except the Oasis, that is.Do all your other appliances, lights, and outlets work? The inverter may need to be reset.
Check/cycle two breakers in half bath for hydronic heater. Make sure coach see's 50A coming in. Will diesel burner run?
Yes, cycled breakers. No love. The inverter is not used for OASIS.
You'll need shore power 30 or 50A or GEN to use the electric elements (AC I/II)
Hot water (summer loop) and zone 1 and 2 fans are 12V powered, as long as OASIS is able to make heat
OASIS can make heat either by shore power and electric elements or diesel burner
Your photo showed a zone fault, go to the silver panel wall mounted on the side of the OASIS unit and see which exact zone is faulted. You will likely need to replace a pump and 10A fuse that is blown associated to that pump. You can try just fuse first but 99% chance it will immediately blow.
I hope you're still going south tomorrow and you've added some electric heaters to get you far enough south that the heat pumps will work. The code indicates a bad ground on the RV-C Node (Oasis part) or more likely, it is failing and needs to be replaced. I'll have to pursue a solution when I get to Florida.
Yeah, it's not going to be bad. It's just a bummer to start out with problem, especially after all the work I put into getting this crazy rig in order. But it-is-what-it-is, right?I hope you're still going south tomorrow and you've added some electric heaters to get you far enough south that the heat pumps will work.
Hopefully it'll be a easy fix.
Seems like this is almost always the case with new or used; these rigs have a lot of temperamental systems and its pretty rare to take a trip where nothing goes wrong, regardless of the amount of prep, improvements, and neurotic over-maintenance habits.Yeah, it's not going to be bad. Our first stop has a bath house, so we'll be ok. And when we get to the resort in Florida, we'll have all the hot water we need.
It's all good!![]()
Ain't that the case! I spent so much time yesterday chasing hot water that I didn't get a lot of my packing done, so most everything this AM got tossed in some place where I told myself I would find it. Yeah, good luck with that, right?Day 1 of my trips coming out of non use is always a triage stop before getting to my destination. Both for organizing stuff I've thrown in the coach (i.e. amazon collections while in storage) and then it's repair time, then after day 1 it's usually smooth sailing ahead. I've just learned to be the norm for this RV adventure.
It sounds like things are looking up, good for you. Send pictures after you get settled in at Silver Springs. Safe travels.Ain't that the case! Arrived at the campground a few minutes ago. No internet. No surprise, and no problem. Buddy (@GlampDaddy) and I wired my Starlink setup into the coach a couple of months ago. So all I have to do is open the generator slide and pull the cable out. But. . . the slide isn't coming out! I'll deal with that when I get to the resort tomorrow. Probably a fuse or something.
But as luck would have it, I had enough backup Starlink stuff in the truck that it only took a few minutes to get it setup and operational. The neighbors are struggling with Internet, we're streaming like spoiled folks. More good news, it's not going to get below 45, so the heat pumps will work.
Life is good, yes?![]()
Only the Silver Leaf. What do the lights on the oasis control panel in the basement show? Is there a fault there or only on the silver leaf control screen?
When you buy a place like that, are you allowed to do work yourself or do you have to have a "licensed contractor" do it for you? That would absolutely kill me having to pay someone to do a lower quality job than I would on my own stuff. There's a lot to be done. The small room, 12 x 15, along with some of the space under the 3 gazebos, will be remodeled and turned into a casita. Plumbing is partially in already, so it should be a pretty easy conversion.
This is only the second RV lot that I’ve bought and neither of them required that a contractor do the work. But they both require(ed) that we get the proper permits/inspections, and in some cases, that might mean it would be easier to use a contractor. When you buy a place like that, are you allowed to do work yourself or do you have to have a "licensed contractor" do it for you?
