Well done!

Nice job. Amazing the difference. How much weight are you saving?
Well, I personally lost a few pounds dealing with this project, but after moving them around it seems like just two of the old flooded units weigh a little more than the one Lithium. 8 of them, plus the dungeon tray they sat in corroding away really adds up to a lot. I'm thinking I lost at least a couple hundred pounds. 👍

Is that the temperature sensor on the negative terminal?
Yeah, I didn't know if the Magnum panel wanted to see it or not, so I hooked it up. If it's not necessary for the panel to know some kind of temp, I could remove it, but I'll probably just leave it there.

Thx, I'll probably remove it [edit] Just removed it. ;)

Looks great. So much cleaner than the old set up. I hate even going in that bay.

Looks great! But will the temp sensor block charging if freezing? The battery's BMS should also block this, but if the redundancy doesn't cause any harm?

Best,
-Mark

The battery is heated and the BMS pretty much takes care of it. I did remove the Magnum temp sensor. It's just sitting in the bin for now. You'll be hard pressed to find me in temp's under 45 anyway.

It shouldn't. It's there to do temperature compensation when charging lead acid batteries which are fine to charge below freezing. When I removed mine I wrapped it in electrical tape so it wouldn't accidentally get grounded against something and effect the lithium charging.
