I'm inclined to agree with MapNerd's comment.
With that said, I would ask them why this policy is in place & see if you could work with their IT folks to resolve any issues they have with cellular internet service. On the suface it seems somewhat arbitrary & the individual(s) making this decision may not be aware of what technology is available.
