I had always assumed so. It’s not like I would ever try to change one of these tires myself. For me it was all about having the tire so I knew I wouldn’t be stranded. I have no issues with paying for someone else’s sweat. Most of the time spent in the side of the road waiting for service is probably your service provider trying to track down a tire. If you have the tire, they just need to drive out and change it. That 5 hour roadside stop suddenly drops to
Maybe 1.5 - 2 hours. For me, that was the beauty of this device.
Agree, and 2 wheels may be doable. If it's 3...that is not possible

In our case, looks like every time you need to open the engine door, the tire has to be lowered?
Or I’m missing something?
Yup, that is the down side of it. Keeps you in shape.

It’s just bolts holding the spare to the hitch. Any reason you couldn’t get longer bolts and mount two spares back to back? Maybe the tongue weight capacity but it says 400#. The tires are heavy but I’m not sure they are that heavy
My tire/wheels are 150 lbs. The tire carrier is 70 lbs itself.

I know I could not lift 2 wheels.... I'm also pretty sure that the extending rod is only rated for one tire/wheel.
