For those looking for "Cheap" electronics. From Ring Doorbells to PCs there are very real risks with Factory Installed firmware. Even high quality Anti-Virus Anti Spyware apps will miss this code sitting silently on your device until activated.

See here:

I got a story!!! But if this video bothers you at all. You don't want to hear it!

Suffice it to say! I use Linux!!!

Truth of the matter is we are well beyond 1984. Almost all electronics , phone, tv, car, refrigerator, etc is collecting data on us. One needs to be hyper-vigilant about all of this “wonderful technology” which is supposed to make our lives better. They would like you to think “resistance is futile”.

Like the Borg, they want us to all assimilate, and become mindless drones.

Kevin, we are on opposite ends of the country, but you sound like we would have some interesting discussions around the campfire.

As @AbdRahim mentioned, your cellphone is probably the biggest culprit, if you have one, it's alot worse than a ring doorbell

Except the Borg didn't just "want" you to assimilate, nor did they attempt to persuade you.....they captured you and installed implants without your consent. ('Course, that may be coming in the future.)
(Now we've alerted the black helicopter squad.)

But I digress; Joe's first post and attached video is right. We've made a HUGE mistake in allowing a country that considers us a political enemy to make any of our electronics (specifically computer components) and import them here. Even a video card could have spyware embedded in it to monitor our activities

Or you have already been assimilated without your "consent" (word left out), and the war is not over yet! As Jon Luke said, if you get assimilated killing you would be merciful.

Dark slithers in the dark, but the rules they live by require they tell you what they're doing!!! They use movies and media for that.

Back on topic!! Microsoft has been behind most viruses, the reason you can't clean one. The net guy said out of the box! When I installed Linux at the library, unused high-end computers had viruses picked up by anti virus software.
It's not the country it's platform.

The old Axiom there is no such thing as Free. Google started as a NSA project to find a way to collect data about populations.
How do you get compliance, offer it for free🤣

They didn't install implants without our consent, they marketed those implants and then charged us for them. Technology isn't the product, people are the product!

The key word here is informed consent!
