There was a time that I would “tinker” with air pressure sweating every half pound fluctuation.
After a number of years I just sort out average weight, determine calculated air pressure. And 5 psi for margin and leave it alone.
During a trip I’ll monitor the TPMS for pressure and temperature from trip to trip. If the load changes drastically, visit a CAT scale and reset.
A pound here or there is just not that much of a risk to me.
Others here and elsewhere are free to manage pressure as they see fit.
Lately the tow vehicle appears to be the issue. Second flat in five trips. Annoying to say the least. Always on a Saturday or Sunday too🤬

Road debris, primarily nails. Last one was a roofing nail. Tires are relatively new, lots of tread. But clear as day large silver nail head. Slow leak so we were able to air it up and drive to get repaired.

All of our trips so far have been short, so I’ve just been checking air before leaving. When we’re traveling more, maybe next summer, I’ll have a bike pump along, and will check pressure more often.
