We’ll be following COVID-19 precautions, so please wear a mask! Feel free to bring signs and please stay hydrated!

Have never seen them without a mask they were wearing them before it was cool lmao. They have a crap ton of events planned let's hope they do so peacefully.
If there are un-permitted carnivals next to the Colosseum who is to say that the event will be permitted?

Ive never liked the idea you need a permit to hold an event. Is that not the point of holding peaceful gatherings? I get with covid going on but these rules have been around a lot longer than covid. I guess I'm to old school when people respected others and their things (like pavilions and such) Now they could trash it and no one would know who did it and it would fall on the owner to clean it up and repair any damages. Shame that its turned out this way. Leave no trace is more than a camping/offroading slogan.

Gottcha. Forgot all that was going on.
I see you moved this. I would like to remind you there are Travelers that read this forum that should also get this important information
I totally agree with not moving this. I suspect it was moved because someone thought it could get into politics?

In the last couple of days we towed through Mobile, Montgomery, Birmingham, and Nashville. What if I had experienced a traffic stoppage due to demonstrators blocking the highway, would me posting a warning about such an experience be moved to our private section? Don't we as an RV "community" want our members to be aware of possible problems developing in areas they may be traveling close to?

I guess I'm not understanding why Kevin's post is being hidden from our general membership.

Our travel plans this year include the same precautions as they did last year, and I appreciate these types of warnings that Kevin posted.

We have been watching local news feeds a lot closer before a days travel. I would have no problem re-routing hundreds of miles around a city to avoid any type of planned "peaceful" demonstration or similar event that is announced. IMHO as the summer goes on many of these things will get out of hand due to the inability of law enforcement to respond.

I would prefer permits for any events I plan to attend. Why, proper waste disposal, enough law enforcement for the volume of people that might attend, enough porta heads for the needs that come up. IMHO only events where the organizers would like to see things go south don't get permits.

It's not, check what forum this is :) (It's in Travel Planning)

Opps, sorry boss, I thought when I posted that initial response that someone had moved it to our private forum. My bad.

If Phoenix stays calm this warning may be moot. However I did get warning today that other states are close to ordering audits and this may make many mines we will have to navigate this summer. Please understand the counties that order audits as the summer progresses, and stay away from those hot zones.

@Kevin D Pem - I appreciate the fine line you are threading here.

This topic is about travel warnings for PHOENIX.

The information you are providing is good to know and has strong implications on travel, but is also deeply rooted in politics.

--ALL---EVERYONE READING THIS---
Please remember this is a NON-POLICITICAL thread. There are going to be reasons to avoid travel in areas this summer, lets keep this thread about specific areas to avoid in and around Phoenix. Other threads for other areas can be created as long as they are NON-POLITICAL.

In addition, when a warning area is no longer a warning area, follow up as such as we will close out the thread as no longer a warning. Just like weather alerts, they are for a period of time, not forever. When this alert is expired, advise as such and offer that the warning is expired and for mods to close the thread. We will also modify the thread title appending - EXPIRED.

Thank you.
