Thanks, folks; I appreciate the confirmations. I think we are all good.

I suspect that when you check the "Casual" driver choice, it assumes gasoline-only purchases. In that case, they don't want to send you to the diesel side to pick up a My Love Rewards card with a number, so they just assign one electronically. Once assigned and you go back and edit the driver type to "Both," they can't retract the assigned number.

In most software applications, there are undocumented "back doors" that can be exploited If you know how to enter them. Unless this "back door" becomes a problem for Love's, I suspect they will just leave it open. Sometimes, finding ways to close them without affecting the usability of the app is harder than just putting up with them.

2.Open up the app and scroll all the way down to the "Vehicles" option. Select the casual driver option, then scroll up and select "Register" for a Love's Connect Account.

4. Now scroll back down to the "Vehicles" option and select "Both."

FYI...

The Commercial vs Casual setting changes the fuel selection of Diesel vs Unleaded.

I never selected anything other than Commercial, I order to keep the selection to Diesel.

Unless something odd has changed, this shouldn’t make a difference for New Registrations and, thus, reduce a couple steps for you.

Rest assured, "something odd has changed." The big question is "why?"

The only use of the Love's app is to authorize your pump from the app/phone. I wonder if you have the wrong settings for fuel selected if it won't show you the diesel pumps. Make sure you find the settings and set the preferences accordingly or you'll be sitting there without the proper pump numbers presented I'm guessing.

I understand that the Love's Connect app is just for the convenience of activating the pump remotely. And, I now have the app functioning correctly after following the procedure @ARD found. All is well here.

My question regarding "why" was simply in the context of why Love's wouldn't want to make this app easily available to EVERYONE during this health crisis. Why not auto-assign My Love Reward numbers to ALL who apply? Doesn't make sense to me that they would do this for gasoline users (a relatively small percentage of their fuel sales, I think) and not for a potentially larger customer base.

They changed the app in some way so that new registrants who chose Commercial were not able to add their TSD card until they got a Love's Reward Card which could only be done by going to the diesel counter at a Love's location. So this convoluted way of signing up was a way of getting a Love's Reward Number without going to a Love location, thus allowing people to use the application.?

Amazing how something that should be simple ends up complicated and confusing for no good reason. Isn’t life complicated enough these days?

Ok, got the EFS card (we are leaving here in week-ish so I paid (got it in 2 days). Used ARD Loves setup (thank you), so I should be ready.
I can see we the application can view data, but is there any online web address to check things, just curious for guidance from you seasoned EFP pro's.

Did you also download the EFS phone app? That will let you review your account, check fuel prices, etc.

Yes I downloaded the App and set it up, just since I'm on my computer way more than my phone, just wanted to know if account could be looked at from computer.
