Having had the issue of low quality water from pedestal at camp grounds I’ve started some new procedures.
As recommended by others fill a glass of water from pedestal/CW and let it sit for a moment to check for clarity/sediment. Additional we have a cheap TDS meter that checks for dissolved minerals. Hardness.
If the water passes the sniff test we fill fresh water tank.

How are you testing for chlorine and fluoride? I assume you are taking showers with that liquid.

Chlorine by smell, flouride is an oh well. At home I have a fluoride filter on the shower head.
We drink and cook with bottled water.

The RV is as filtered as much as is reasonable in my case.

The thought of triple osmosis filtering is in my opinion very controversial. Water is a great solvent. It will draw minerals until it is reasonably saturated. Using Pure water will leach minerals from your body. Important nutrients your body needs to be healthy.

Consequently I am careful about how much I take out of the water we use.

No sense using a bone char filter if they don't add it to the water! There is a tester online for about 60 bucks.

As for chlorine a pool kit! When you smell it it can mean there are no free radicals.

The MDS call both poison. My garden suffers with clorinated water! In nature I am a wall flower, so I am concerned about both of them.
