Neal, they have 3.4GPM and 5.3 GPM. Which one did you get?
Match what you have for flow rate. My coach is 3.4.

This is what I plan to get when mine fails Remco 55AQUAJET-ARV Aquajet Variable Speed 5.3 GPM RV Water Pump
although last time I looked it was around $125. Love that inflation excuse….
Just keep in mind your gpm. I think the 5.x variant is for those with vanity showers, etc. I don't know, maybe the 5.x will work fine in a 3.x setup. I went with the 3.x gpm one to stay in line with what Newmar originally installed with the Flojet. My shower head is only a 1.5 or 2 gpm flow so anything higher I don't think is going to help. Now will it help with shower + washer + kitchen sink running? One can only guess.

Now I remember why I chose the one I did. You have to be careful of your water pump controller AMP limits which I think is 10A. Either pump should work fine, both have a max pressure of 65 psi but the 5 gpm is bumping up against the water pump controller amp limit.

It would help when running a hose off the tank and pump cleaning things up outside which was my intention but at over $200 I’m reconsidering.

I've been running the REMCO for over 5 years and really like it. But I never gave the flojet a chance. It was recommended early on to put a better pump in. Not sure if that was good advice, I should have tried the factory installed one first. But I was mod crazy so I needed something for my fix, 1 of 1275 :)

That’s the same controller I installed so I’ll do a little more checking before moving forward with this. Right now my pump occasionally runs on not building enough pressure to shut off so I see this as somewhat impending.

I've seen/heard of this caused by air leaks. Maybe try removing the screen filter on the inlet.
