Said "goodbye" to @purring along this morning. Maybe we can get the park back to normal now. . . :)

And what is normal?

The exact opposite of anything I'm doing.

And what is normal?
I'm glad you asked!

Normal (noun/adjective, depending on how confused you are)
  • A setting on a washing machine that everyone ignores,
  • A state of being that nobody actually achieves,
  • And a social mirage people chase until they realize it’s mostly composed of caffeine, compromise, and pretending you have your life together. Alcohol may help with this. . .
At Deer Springs, “normal” means Ryker supervising from his favorite spot, Trish keeping things running smoother than the Wi-Fi ever will, and the guests fixing something that wasn’t broken until someone helped. :)

Stepping up the game a bit and expanding the old 10' wide road with a new 14' road! The roads coming in were never bad, but we lacked the curb appeal that a nicer entrance provides.

Stay tuned, more pictures tomorrow!

Nice!

The asphalt plant broke down yesterday, so no paving got done. Then today, the 15-ton truck that was supposed to handle most of the asphalt hauling broke a yoke (or something like that) and ended up sidelined, with a full load of asphalt cooling fast. Yikes! Not sure how they dealt with that mess, but the rest of the day they were down to just two smaller trucks (7-ton, I think, but don’t quote me). So, what was supposed to be wrapped up on Wednesday will now finish tomorrow.

On the bright side, it’s looking really good!

We also had the big curve (both going up and coming down) on The Wilderness Loop widened. It should make life a lot easier for the less experienced drivers. 🙂

I'll take the drone up tomorrow and get some video, but until then, here are a few pics.

Dang, I may not be able to wait until July to see the improvements. Looking good!

Loooking good Jim. I can smell that last pic.

I agree with the others! I hope to be able to make it there next year and see the improvements!
