I was just remembering that we drove up to see the August 2017 eclipse and spent two nights driving out of Texas, mid-August, we didn't even think about the heat issue. Different coach...basement AC
 
Our record is 108 degrees in Baker, Oregon. Low humidity, parked in a shady site under trees, and a grass lawn between sites. Kept the shades drawn.
The AC kept the rig around 80 inside. T-shirts and shorts. It was OK, not miserable. Cocooned inside during the worst of the afternoon.


Fighting fire as a Hotshot Captain I had 122° wearing full gear. But I was younger then...
