Well each year I try and do a major upgrade to the Log cabin. This year for 2022 I decided I am tired of having shingles replaced on my 12 pitch roof. So I decided to go with a green metal roof. Well after two weeks of trying to install a roof in March in the great Northeast it is finally done. Not by me but a company called Garvin Construction that specializes in metal roofs.

Half way through last week we got hit with another 5 in snow storm. They actually climbed up on the roof and shoveled snow off to finish. Wednesday through to Friday we had some decent weather with a high of 39 degrees. Today Saturday 3/12/22 we are getting blasted with ANOTHER snow storm. This is supposed to be a 7 to 10 inch event. As I sit and type this it looks like a whiteout outside.

All the more reason to look for an RV lot somewhere in Florida. Yep I will have to hook up the plow yet again. Come on Spring where are you?

HH

It’s 85 degrees here in Bluewater Keys rv resort😎

This is what my spring thaw looks like. And it is still snowing!!!

Well it's 3/28/2022 and woke up to a brisk 12 Degrees above zero. Today's high is 20 degrees. Tonight its going down to 14 degrees above zero. Oh and by the way it snowed an inch yesterday with snow flurries all day today.

I have Robins in my back yard in snow shows.....LOL

Brrrrrrr. 🥶 I know you will be ready for warmer weather. 65 in Dallas GA today.

Hate to say it… 85 today in Nacogdoches, Tx. Getting anxious about heading to Washington in May. No humidity!!

4/18/2022....Well guess what, its SNOWING AGAIN....... We are supposed to get hit with 8 to 12 inches. It figures and I all ready put the plow to the Jeep away.

God give me strength.....

What? I left Fl way too early. I thought it would be in the 50’s and 60’s by now. Arrghhh!!

Well it sort of missed a little bit only got hit with about 4 inches. But it is still snowing what a PIA.

Did get about a cord of wood stacked before the storm. One of my customers really takes care of me.

A couple years ago, after 20+ years living in the mountains at the end of a 2 mile, owner maintained, gravel road I moved from 4100’ in the Sierras to 1135‘ in the foothills. Sold the plow. Sold the 4x4 Case 580. Sold the little wide track John Deere 350 dozer with blade extensions. I miss the forest and the views and the quiet solitude (although I get that here in farm country too), but I surely dont miss the snow.

Nice roof BTW - same as my 8/12 under all that snow.

Hi Rick: Wow that was one heck of a view of the mountains. Yeah sooner or later the land and the weather is going to catch up to me. We are sort of looking at RV lots in Florida for maybe a month or two get away. Just need the time to get down there and check them out.

Wow, a beautiful view Rick. I can not imagine the work in the winter months. I know you do not miss the work.

Well it 4/27/22 and I am finishing up getting the coach ready for this week end camping sojourn. Checked the fluids in my 4 house batteries, a ok. My two engine batteries are sealed. That's a relief because they are stuck far back from the storage bay opening.

Oh and by the way it is a balmy 39 degrees and snow furring all day. Going down to 29 degrees tonight, I left the heat on in the coach just in case.

HH

Beautiful!
