Guaranty RV Park in Junction City, Oregon. Just got the coach back to the site after having a bunch of work done on it, including full annual service, replacing a non-functioning Kwikee step, replacing a failed front-passenger slide motor/gearbox and having the new style charge bridge solenoid (with built-in diode) installed. Sherry and her crew of Phil, Devin and “the chassis guy” did their usual sterling work and got us back on the road again in one piece. And, at a very fair price!

Unseen behind the passenger-side mirror is a nasty rock-hit in the corner of the windshield, courtesy of a passing log truck on our trip down. Until it spreads badly, we’ll live with it.

If ya gotta be in Junction City, a visit to Sherry and crew is all good. Glad to see they took care of Tj & Lady Di as I knew they would!! Wish we were closer to them.
Like your new toad Tj???

Uhhhhhh...that would be LadyDi’s ”new toad.” I get a ride in it once-in-a-while.

And, yes; “Sherry and crew” took great care of us during out visit. The visit was, indeed, “all good.”

We’re outa here in the morning, heading for Polson with an overnight in Spokane, Valley, WA. It will be nice to get some feet-up time in the Treasure State.

BTW, what’s the news around Guaranty concerning the sale of the company?

This landmark will be familiar to some.

We spent a week at the Georgia National Fairgrounds last week.

That's not a landmark, that's a navigation aid! Without that I would have been lost there! :)

Did the awning check out ok?
Yes, surprisingly, it did. Once plugged back in, it extended and retracted twice via the remote with no issues. Quite frankly, I am amazed! “Arnie,” our resident coach wash and detail guy in Polson will be here tomorrow and will look closely at the facia, but to my eye there is no visible damage and everything works as it should...except for extending when we’re underway.

Nice to be “back home“ in Polson and relaxing. I got the Reqtec pellet grill/smoker out of the cargo bay and have it set up. Bought the accessory cover for it (very nice, heavy duty waterproof fabric), so it will sit outside most of the time.

We are about to break camp at the Oasis RV resort in Amarillo, TX. We are in day 4 of our drive west. Nice campground but very windy.

we are heading to Albuquerque today - any suggestions on overnight campgrounds?

We are close to wrapping up a week in NC’s Outer Banks at Camp Hatteras in Rodanthe. The weather this time of year can be hit and miss. This year it was a miss, but it has been attempting to redeem itself in the last 48 hr.

In ABQ, I can recommend the RT 66 Casino and campground just off I-40. We stay there each time we pass through. It’s new-ish and top notch IMO.

Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou SP near Niceville, FL. We are biking along the coast and kayaking in the bayou.

Pryor Mountains Lovell, Wy. We make this stop each year. The horseshoe bend campground has 50amp and water, and is a great launch point to go site seeing for the wild mustangs.

We found most of the herd this trip, and saw several good stallion fights. The mating season is always entertaining.

Coming down the back side we met up with a grizzly.

The trails are not hard, and do not require anything more than decent clearance and 4wd, although I never used 4wd.

My MOST favorite place!!! I have to go back! Did you see some of the new foals? I could watch horse dynamics all day long. It's awesome that ya'll make it there every year. And you saw a grizzly to boot. That's just bonus. Safe travels! And thanks for sharing!

Outstanding pictures...the story of Monty Roberts and wild horse dynamics is fascinating! (A must read IMHO) We spent a weekend camping in the parking lot at Avila Beach...looking at the water. Not the outdoors you shared...but a nice get-away nevertheless. I get the "Bike for Sale" reaction to seeing a grizzly on a back road. I'd rather be inside a Rubicon than on a mountain bike ? Thanks to everyone who shares their adventures with us...encourages us to expand our travels!
