I'd Just tell them payoff, and tell them that doesn't even count in My large down.
If the purchase price isn't their business, I certainly don't think the payoff is. Car dealer's like to ask that question and I always tell them that's my number to think about, not theirs.

Really!!! You've had people ask you how much you paid for your coach. Wow IMO that falls in the NUNYA category.

I'd answer the question with questions: Pardon me? How is that relevant? It's obvious someone is trying to game you thinking it's a negotiating tactic.

I just ignored the question and have them my MSRP and build sheet.

I have a perfect reply - I don’t recall. Truth!

I wouldn't give that information. I'd probably ask "If I paid too much are you going to help me cover my loss?" And just laugh it off. Next question?

I think my reply would be: " I negotiated a reasonable purchase price, but that does not impact its' value today! What do you think?
Answering a question with a question, one often gains more insight to the intent of the prospective buyer!

Had a few inquiries about selling my coach. A few people asked me for my purchase price which I felt a little conflicted to reveal.
I think anyone could do some basic math and maybe get close, but I was always taught that what your selling is worth what they’re paying and what you purchased it for is irrelevant as long as both parties are satisfied.

If you were selling and someone asked for your purchase price, would you disclose it?
I did the same as Sheridany. What you eventually paid is no ones business.
