And, that’s why many of us have a standalone navigation system aboard (Garmin RV 890 for us). We rarely use the Xcite (which is not very “exciting” for us), even for the dash radio function. Replacing it with a Kenwood is on my to-do list, but hasn’t yet moved to the top of the list.

I use the IPhone as well, Xite has a useful feature of RV 13’ clearance mapping. The Garmin 890 or similar is in the future at some point. I’ve got several Garmin GPS just not a RV specific model.

Seems to me, when you kill house power (rocker switch by entry door) that kills power to Xite Radio. Try it, leave switch off, suspect nothing in the house will start or at least most stuff. I store my MH away from home, so I turn off all the switches, house and chassis when it's not being used. I do weekly charge batteries with genset.
Assuming things change, but my experience with Garman is not good. Magellan makes very good aftermarket RV GPS's, and I have gone across country with using one of them 5 time's. I can count on one hand the times it made mistake. I ALWAYS check a large print RV road atlas against any route the GPS says to take, ensuring there are no low overpasses. You Dutch Star Owners would not get under the 13.7" R?R trestle on Hwy 76 heading to Dalton, GA. I am at 13.2", and I slow down to crawl speed when I go under it. I cringe every time. There is one famous low overpass they show on TV all the time, countless people have stripped off the top three feet of their rig trying to go under it. Someplace around Atlanta, GA. Warning signs starting 1 mile back, and "people just don't pay attention". That is said because you I-phone/Cell Map users are going to get bit by them. They do NOT show truck routs, they generally take you the shortest distance route, regardless of road conditions/obstacles along route. A RV Large Print Atlas, will solve 99% of those issues.
