I have an Onan 5.5kW Marquis Gold (HGJAB series) in my 202 WB Class A. The generator runs just fine when parked. But, when I try to run it while traveling, for example to run a rooftop air conditioner in hot weather), it will only run for a few minutes then it quits. On my in-coach display it shows error code 36. That's not very useful - the Onan owner's manual says to check the fuel level (it feeds from the coach 80 gallon tank), the spark plug (would not run stationary if spark plug...

Hi. My brother, who lives in Europe, is looking to buy a motorhome there, and found one that has a Timberline Diesel heating. Timberline is apparently relatively rare in Europe, and he asked me if those heaters are reliable and work well. I honestly have no idea as my RV does not use Timberline. So, if you are inclined to do so, and have some experience with Timberline heaters, can you share some thoughts?

I have a 2004 Beaver Monterey. We service our Hydro Hot system yearly. We do live in our motorhome. Our hydro hot system recently is acting kinda crazy. When we turn the switch on in the motorhome the burner will not ignite and the stir pump will not start. All the lights are green on the panel, like everything is fine. If you touch and knock around some it will all start and work great, but will not re-cycle when needed. We do turn it off and on daily so thinking maybe a switch or...
Our Dutchstar has the factory optional LiFePo package. The BIM seems to charge at 13.x volts rather than the expect 14.2V. Also, the BIM remains Bridged when on shore power, but doesn't appear to Bridge/charge house batteries by engine alternator when engine is running.
Been talking with Newmar Service to investigate this. Mark, mobile service, will be here next week.

We connected again with an old friend at Clear Water Cove on Tim’s Ford Lake. This was a trip to visit family and Billy came and camped next to us for the week end. Billy and I worked together years ago. Gave him an invite to RV Forums and to visit Deer Springs RV Park. Heading home tomorrow. Good times.

Plugged in at home to 50 amp service as normal, AC set to 80F. Heard an odd sound coming from the rear AC unit, sounded like something "flapping".
As I was climbing the ladder up to the roof a piece of something came shooting out thru one of the vents in the cover. Looks like a piece of masking tape to me.

I have 2 6 volt batteries hooked in series. Our last trip out we cut short because i was concerned i had a problem. Plus hooked up to 50 amp shore power.
The voltage on batteries dropped to 11.6 volts in the evening.
Lights did not dim, slides still worked. But I was nervous eventually I would not be able to retract slides.
I do have solar to help charge batteries.

My question is should I empty the black and gray tanks after short trips?
If it matters there will probably be 2 or 3 weeks between trips.
Hey RV Forum. New member here. We were at Anastasia State Park in FL this past weekend, and our water heater decided to stop working on electric. I flipped the breakers and checked all the fuses. Didn't find anything wrong. However, it seemed to started working again. Maybe not as hot as usual. The next morning, it stopped working again. The propane side still works fine. Also, the electric heater switch on our control panel was illuminated, so it's apparently still getting power...
Exercised my coach today and couldn't access both of my Pepwave's through the Peplink Router app as it showed SSL certificates expired. I had firmware 8.5.1 installed. I googled it and the fix was simply to update the firmware, 8.5.2 is available, so I updated both and it solved the problem. Login to your admin, go to System at the top, Firmware on the left and check for updates.
Planning a 10 +/- day MH trip through WI to MN, SD, and likely as far as Gillette, WY in mid August.
Other than the obvious Wall Drug & Mt. Rushmore, looking for recommendations as to where & what to see & do, and campground suggestions.
(Prefer KOA's as they are dog friendly &, as a subscriber, I get 10% off.)
Keep in mind, however, we have a toad to sightsee and we also travel with our fur baby so excursions need to be dog friendly or of fairly short duration.

It’s been real interesting seeing, experiencing, and comparing the WGO service center to Newmar’s.
I drove the 1170 miles here to get what I’m sure most would consider a very minor issue taken care of because:
1) My selling dealership failed on three separate occasions to do it correctly.
