Woppy jawed - a new one for me, sounds like something from W. Texas. I’ll have to remember that one! Yeah it looks bad at first glance, but its a small area and the exterior and floor arent involved, so I agree, not that big a job.

Here in so. IL we say whopper jawed.

Furnace worked last year, not this year though.
Removed it and started checking things out. All the switches were working.
Tore it apart to check the ignitor and gas jet.
Dirt daubers had completely buried both units.
Finished completely tearing it apart, clean everything out.
Heat exchanger had nest all through it. Took forever to clean that out.

Reassembled it and bench tested it. Works great.
No parts needed, just some labor.
Reinstall in MH and I have heat.

I've done this several times, with cars, Jeeps, RV's, houses, you name it! Sometimes it wasn't about money, it was because I enjoyed the transformation that was taking place and the product that I eventually ended up with. Most of it I enjoyed very much.
