Help! Have a 2018 Winnebago and the solar screen is flashing with code 601. Checked the manual and is says battery disconnected. I've not done anything to the batteries. Where would this fuse be located? Checking wiring diagrams and indications it's located above the batteries located just...

    Solar and Surge

Hi folks My ‘98 Rexhall Vision 28’ plugs in to a solar system for its power. It’s powered by two 200ah batteries (not lithium). The sun’s been shining, and batteries are 100% charge upwards of 13v at end of day. There are no heavy electrical draws as a rule unless I’m using something. The RV...

    Motorhome storage

Thank you for your response! We have a roof top 175 watt solar panel. I just don’t know whether it is connected to the house batteries or the chassis batteries. House batteries appear to be liquid acid cell batteries and am concerned about boiling them out with all of the sun. Thank you

LightShip 4 Now Starting Customer Evaluation

I would think solar would be an ideal way to keep batteries topped off or charging while underway. I'm not sure if the LS roof is conducive to solar panels, even if the flexible type.

Hello all, New member and new to Class A RV’s. We have a 2022 Coachmen Mirada 315ks and it has a 100w Solar panel on top of the rig but no Solar panel controller. Do we need to purchase the controller in order for it to charge the house batteries?

    Fridge on or off

I stored mine outside as well. I have 400 W on the roof more than enough to charge my LARGE AGM’S batteries during storage. I turn off the cab electrical and the house electrical nothing‘s on, just solar charging the batteries.

    AMSolar?

No. They didn’t touch the solar other than moving my mess into the battery bay. I keep mine parked in covered storage so hope that helps.

Hey all, I’m new to the thread, and new to the camping trailer game! I just purchased a 22 Clipper 12.0 TD Max, and am looking for some portable solar panel options to boondock. I live in Arizona and get plenty of sun to do so. If anyone has experience with the Clipper and installing solar...

Looking for light weight rigid solar panels

...average. I am looking for panels to install on the roof of a vehicle and don't want to exceed the max. load rating of the roof. After reading about the delaminating issues with (semi) flexible and CIGS panels I am just looking for rigid solar panels. Does anyone have information on this...

    Question Solar Charging System

There may be an access panel in there secured by square head ( Robertson), remove the panel and it may be in that compartment. May be close to the MPPT controller for the solar or it may be on the interior wall adjacent to the solar prep port on the exterior wall.

    Motorhome storage

...know if you were going to shoot for covered storage. Flooded as in golf cart batteries? Top them before storing. Turn off equalizer on your solar controller and you should not need to be concerned about boiling. The solar won't keep the chassis batteries up. That is going to need...

    Tip Balanced Solar system

With some experience with Solar I’ve found that having too much of any component can lead to dissatisfaction with Solar products. Also, understanding the installation and installer intent is equally important. Having a bunch of panels that max out the inverter can be efficient or annoying. My...

    Solar, is it worthwhile?

I watch this guy often. I don't agree with everything he published, but then, I guess that is across the board. Anyhow thought those contemplating solar might like it.
