I was poking around on the roof of the Dutch Star today and noticed a single solar panel mounted near the rear of the coach on top of the master bath roof section. I am assuming that it is to trickle charge the chassis battery but I have never seen mention of it in the manuals. Does anyone else...
...average. I am looking for panels to install on the roof of a vehicle and don't want to exceed the max. load rating of the roof. After reading about the delaminating issues with (semi) flexible and CIGS panels I am just looking for rigid solar panels. Does anyone have information on this...
I just bought 22 FE ultra lite 238BHS few weeks ago which is supposed to be Freedom Solar Ready.
I checked on the roof had solar panel but I can't find a charge controller location anything anywhere, Any ideas?
Thank you!
I’m curious if anyone knows of a solar generator capable of powering a AC unit. Ours won’t run off of a standard household circuit (rather, it trips the breaker after a minute or so).
If that’s not an option, is overkill better for the power needs? Since we work remote, being able to power a...
...survives our passes in the winter. If anybody out there has any strong suggestions for winter driving success, lift kits or for after marked solar (Slumber has a pop top so not as easy to accomplish as on most class B's), I would love to hear them. We have the lithium upgrade....

Hi folks
My ‘98 Rexhall Vision 28’ plugs in to a solar system for its power. It’s powered by two 200ah batteries (not lithium). The sun’s been shining, and batteries are 100% charge upwards of 13v at end of day. There are no heavy electrical draws as a rule unless I’m using something. The RV...

I have been kicking around the idea of installing 5-600 watts of solar panels. I know I will have to do some measuring and layout planning. A couple of questions: 1) If I go 600, what would be required to convert down to 12v if I put 6 100 watt panels and wire them 2s3p? 2)I am thinking in terms...
There are folks that have installed high quality commercial grade solar panels on RVs.
What is the downside of using these panels vs ones designed for mobile applications?
Other than size, not sure how they survive vibration and stresses of roof mounting on a RV?
To anyone maintaining battery charge using solar panel.. what wattage panel are y'all using? RV storage cost increasing and they've been charging extra for trickle charger so thinking of using solar. Thanks
Does anyone have experience with the thin and flexible solar panels that are available? I have a 180 watt panel from the factory on my Rockwood Mini Light and want to add more and I’m looking for suggestions.
My wife and I bought 2019 jay co Redhawk class C motorhome. It was prewired for solar the monitoring controller is not there. I would like to install an aftermarket 200 watt solar 4 to 6 volt batteries. Has anyone done this before
